The newest interactive Titanic museum, the "Sea City Museum", is located in Southampton, the place where the Titanic spent a large portion of her life and also from where most of the crew came from.
It consists of two wings of galleries, holding the permanent displays of ‘Gateway to the World’ and ‘Southampton’s Titanic Story’ and one temporary exhibition space in a newly constructed exhibition pavilion.
The permanent exhibition featuring the story of Titanic’s crew includes collections of audio of crew member’s memories of the night Titanic struck the iceberg and the consequences for them and their families.
Some of the display highlights include a 1:25 scale, interactive model of the Titanic; Captain Smith#s sword and Steward Sidney Sedunary´s pocket watch.
