Great Lakes Naval Museum

Each year, new objects and documents are added to the museum through the generosity of donors. These donations help the Great Lakes Museum fulfill its mission to document the history of the Navy's only boot camp.

The Great Lakes Naval Museum's mission is to collect, select and interpret the history of US navy. It seeks to fulfill the mission by:

- collecting and exhibiting United States naval training history
- developing and publicizing programs that broaden and deepen public knowledge
- hosting naval traditions and activities that promote Naval Heritage to the greater community

The Great Lakes Naval Museum has a variety of positions available to volunteers.

Volunteers at the Great Lakes Naval Museum can assist staff by:

-  Greeting visitors
-  Guiding Visitors through the Museum Exhibits
- Teaching Children about Naval History
