Maritime Museum of the Atlantic

We are delighted to introduce you to the oldest and the largest maritime museum of Canada. The Maritime Museum of the Atlantic is a valuable historical, cultural and educational institution.

This is the largest place that collects and interprets various elements of Nova Scotia's marine history.
You can find here:
- steamships
- local small crafts
- the history of the Royal Canadian and Merchant Navies
- a lot of about Second World War convoys
- various exhibits from "Titanic: the unsinkable ship" to "The days of sail"

Visitors are also introduced to Nova Scotia's role in the aftermath of the Titanic disaster.

The Museum has received a lot of awards such as National Award Winner for Best Indoor Site or an Honourable Mention from the Canadian Museums Association for the exhibit "Titanic: The Unsinkable Ship and Halifax" which is definitely recommendable.

There is no better place to immerse yourself in Nova Scotia's rich maritime heritage than the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic.

The museum is open every day from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm.
